Now that you have interviewed lots of users, you need to create archetypes that represent their individual attitudes. This method is best used for mid-large sets of qualitative data that describe who your end-users are.

  • Determine a minimum of three attributes that describes the attitude of your user, ie. Confidence, Trust and Comprehension.
  • Determine a scale for how each user will be rated, ie. High-3, Medium-2, Low-1.  
  • Using the provided Excel sheet, rate the attributes of each user.
  • Print the generated radar charts, and group participants according to area and shape.

Against your designer intuition, double-check that the shape of the area represents a unique archetype mindset. Discuss users that sit on the fringe of obvious groups.
